0660 Pandy Lane, river, bridge. Afon Ffyddion. Posted 1913. (same image as on a card posted in 1912).

1236. A very early picture of Glanrafon in Pandy lane, from a postcard. Note the steep pitch of the roof, and compare the chimney stack positions with later pictures. There’s surprisingly little tree cover compared with now.

1237. Glanrafon as a holiday cottage (turn of the 20th century). Note brick and slate construction. The man with the hat was a toolmaker from Liverpool. The child later fought in both world wars and died early 1970s.

1238. A view up Pandy Lane - ford and footbridge still in evidence. The walls have been rendered, the child has grown a bit. Dated 1903 on the back of original photo.

1240. Glanrafon taken pre-1965, when Sid Brown lived there. Note the proximity of the lime kiln, along with a spoil heap above the roofline on the right, but even the old Lime Kiln, still visible on Foel Road today, is clear above one of the house chimneys.
