W.R.Hughes Draper & Grocer. Inside the shop, with William Robert (Rob) Hughes, the owner. In the late 1920s or early 1930s he and his wife Sarah Ellen moved from this shop because of ill health and opened another at Bod Hyfred, Penisa, not far from Voel Coaches. Rob died in 1953 aged 66. Sarah Ellen died in 1970 aged 79.
