For some projects we act as facilitators between grant funding and organisations such as
Denbighshire Countryside Services

An example of this is our
Dyserth Circular Walk

This map is taken from a booklet of walks we produced with

Funding has been allocated for Denbighshire County Council to have some repairs done to the (privately-owned) Clive Engine House next to Dyserth Falls Resort. (previously Graig Park). Work commenced in December 2011.

We will be helping with the permissive access footpaths to the site once repair work is complete.

Our Dyserth Brochure.

Researched, written and photography by group members

5,000 copies were printed and, assisted by Dyserth Guides, we delivered a copy to every house in Dyserth

For some time we have been planning to improve the area in front of one of the Lime Kilns on Upper Foel Road.

IMAG0032-a

In October 2011 the area was transformed for us by the Community Payback Team, with funding from the Tidy Towns Initiative.

We had a bilingual information panel produced and it was erected in February 2012

The board with the temporary supports in place while the concrete set around the posts.

We would like to place a mural on the bricked-up area on the front of the kiln showing how the kiln was in operation.

This will be part of a planned Heritage Trail around the village.

Other projects have included:-
(no photos available)

clearing the High Street entrance to the playing field,

tidying up various areas of the village, river and woodland,

providing some of the dog bins

installing owl boxes at various locations

A huge 1871 Ordnance Survey map of Dyserth was given to the village
by Carolyn Minshull –
we arranged for this to be placed in a protective plastic cover and we have put the map on display in St Bridget’s Church Hall.
