1200 Mrs Dale outside Fernbank with Les Weighill on right. Ann (Anne?) Thomas worked at the cafe at Fernbank (also known as Cerrig Llwyd and as Penny Pot Cottage). She met Les Weighill there and they went off to Liverpool around 1925. Ann bought two houses in Dyserth, Rosemarie and Tyn y Pistyll, and they came back to Dyserth when bombed out of Liverpool in May 1942. They eventually settled in Rhyl.

Eleanor Hodges, sister of Leonard Hughes, was grandmother to Angela, Frank's daughter. Taken in 1956 in the garden of what is now Penny Pot cottage (previously Fern Bank or Fernbank and Cerrig Llwyd). The Clive engine house can be seen in the background.
